Three generations of garlic growing on the Isle of Wight

The Garlic Farm is a family business which is owned and run by the Boswell family who have all spent many years enjoying, exploring and learning about all things garlic. Ever since Granny Norah planted those first few cloves in her garden over 60 years ago, garlic has been growing on the Isle of Wight. They have spent the many years since exploring its history and origins, experimenting with the many different varieties and creating a range of garlic infused products from garlic mayonnaise to garlicky chutneys and from black garlic beer to garlic ice cream. 

The business ethos is to generate a ‘net positive’ outcome across all our core values. For this reason, they have certified all the farmland they own as organic with the Soil Association and engage in farming practices that aim to leave their land and environment in better condition than when they found it. They are focused on long term goals, sustainable growth, being a great place to work and an educational place to visit.

They use local suppliers wherever possible while seeking the best quality products and garlic they can find. For this reason, they grow as much garlic as possible in the rotational land they have available and also work with growers in Europe and USA to source quality varieties from their garlic growing friends. They work with specialist producers for all our garlicky products as well as making products on site wherever possible.
