About Meggy Moo's Dairy

A wonderful family business who have been milking cows at Park Farm in Shroton, Dorset since 1989. The milk is unhomogonised and minimally pasteurised so all the goodness remains. It tastes like milk we used to have in our childhoods, it hasn't had the life sucked out of it. The tastiest milk ever and since we were introduced to Meggy Moo's, the Jackson household won't drink any other milk.

They milk a herd of 180 Holsteins which are looked after by Alan and his Dad, Andrew together with their Herdsman, Chris. Their aim is to produce quality milk and dairy products by using farming practices that always put their cows first.

They take great pride in looking after their herd. That is why they provide them not only with access to green grass to eat and sunshine on their backs, but also with a comfortable, clean barn in which they can rest, eat and seek shelter or shade.

They give their cows the freedom to choose for themselves whether they want to graze outside or rest indoors - the choice is entirely theirs. They are free to go where they prefer to be.

In addition to good Dorset grass, plenty of forage crops that they grow on the farm and constant access to fresh water, they also receive a nutritionally balanced diet that provides them with all the energy, vitamins and minerals they need to stay healthy.

We offer a glass bottle refill service in the shop - please ask for more details.
